Tesco\u00a0recalled its Tesco British Cooking Salt due to health fears as it “may contain small pieces of plastic”.<\/p>\n

The Food Standards Agency also issued an urgent warning and explained that “the possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat”.<\/p>\n

Tesco announced: “We have been made aware that a specific batch of Tesco Cooking Salt 1.5kg may have been contaminated with small pieces of plastic.<\/p>\n

“This could potentially pose a risk if ingested” due to “foreign body contamination,” the supermarket added.<\/p>\n

Tesco warned customers who have the product at home that the cooking salt is “unsafe to eat” and urged them to return it to the store.<\/p>\n
