Well… who doesn’t like some cream cheese frosting on their cake? Or cupcakes? Or anything?!
- 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese (softened)
- 1 egg (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup white sugar (granulated sugar)
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Using an electric mixer, beat the softened cream cheese, the egg, and the white sugar. Beat until smooth (about 5 minutes)
Add maple syrup, brown sugar and vanilla.
Beat for 6 minutes
Notes: make sure that the egg is room temperature!! If the egg is cold then it will effect the mixing of the frosting. Also make sure your cream cheese is softened!! If your cream cheese is not softened the frosting will be harder to mix.
