Shortcut malted chocolate cake

Ingredients

  1. 2 -layer size package dark chocolate fudge or devils food cake
  2. 1/3 cup vanilla malted milk powder plus 1/4 cup
  3. 1 (12 oz) can whipped chocolate frosting
  4. 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped malted milk balls

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix according to package directions, adding the 1/3 cup malted milk powder to batter. Pour batter into a greased 13×9×2 inch baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Place pan on a wire rack and cool completely.

  2. In a medium bowl, stir together frosting and the 1/4 cup malted milk powder. Spread evenly over cake. Top with chopped malted milk balls.
