Had some leftover mutton from here: https://cookpad.com/us/recipes/339143-worlds-best-mutton-biryani I saw Fava beans at the Intl’ Market and got a pound. Have only heard of them until now!

You can roast the onions, garlics, and poblano if you like I just prefer using the BBQ.

Forgot the pic with the bowl!

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 lb fava beans, soaked
  2. 12 oz Several mutton chunks, see pic, about 12 ounces
  3. slices Grilled onion
  4. Grilled garlics
  5. Grilled poblano chili
  6. Red sweet chili's for color
  7. to taste cardamom
  8. To taste garam masala
  9. To taste salt, pepper

Steps

  1. I soaked the fava beans several hours and then pressure cooked with the mutton.

  2. Had another idea while that was cooking and grilled some onion slices, garlics, and a poblano chili. Chopped these up and in a pot on the induction cooker. IP doesn’t really have a simmer.

  3. Simmer for at least 20 minutes for the flavors to meld.
