  • The important thing to note here is that you don’t have to follow this recipe exactly. Use it as a guide to create your own Rainbow Charcuterie Board. Go through the grocery store and pick out delicious bits based on their color and how it’ll fit into the board.
  • Red:
  • This is where you can pick and choose whatever charcuterie you prefer. Sliced salami, prosciutto, chorizo, cured meats of any kind could all work here. Arrange them in a section of your board. Cheese doesn’t necessarily have to be red here but you can utilize the red wax from a wedge of gouda to give you that color pop! Place the sauces or dips in little ramekins and arrange by color.
  • Orange:
  • Arrange the sliced cheddar near the red section of your board along with the muenster cheese, dried apricots, marcona almonds, mustard, cherries and mini peppers.
  • Yellow:
  • This is where you can arrange your varies crunchy bits. They typically tend to have a yellow-ish hue that can work. Various crackers or crispy breadsticks can all add to the color concept. Arrange those on your board along with yellow baby carrots, yellow peppers, pimento cheese, and a wedge of white cheddar.
  • Green:
  • Place green grapes (on the vine) on the board, along with a bowl of green olives, a wedge of Irish cheddar (again, utilizing the green wax to your advantage), and a goat cheese log that has been rolled in herbs.
  • Blue:
  • Arrange a bowl of fresh blueberries on your board with a wedge or two of blue cheese, a small bowl of blueberry jam and maybe some par-cooked purple potatoes. I know they’re purple but when cooked they have more of a blue hue to them.
  • Purple:
  • Look for any kind of purple cheese in your store’s cheese counter. Most will have blueberries in them but they will most likely have a purple tint to them. Arrange the dried figs along the board with baby purple carrots, jam, sliced roasted beets, and fig crackers.
  • It doesn’t have to be precise when you arrange your board. You can do rows like a rainbow or I arranged it in sections based on color. It’s whatever you find visually appealing. Just have fun with it!
