  1. 700 g Chicken on the bone (Cut into pieces)
  2. 1/2 bitter melon
  3. 1/4 pineapple
  4. 1 thumb of ginger
  5. 1500 ml water
  6. 3 tsp salt (or to taste)
  7. 10 g wolfberry (optional)
  8. 1 tbsp rice wine


  1. Blanch chicken in hot water for 3 minutes.

  2. Cut bitter melon into half lengthwise, remove the white spongy part and seeds then cut into pieces, pineapple into thick slices. Cut ginger into slices. Rinse and soak wolfberries for 10 minutes.

  3. Mix all ingredients in a soup pot (except wolfberry), Pour 1500 ml of water in the pot to cook over high heat, When boil, turn down to low heat, cover and cook for 40 minutes.

  4. Before serve, add salt to taste. Garnish with wolfberries.
