  1. 2 cups flour
  2. 1/4 cup butter
  3. 1/2 cup warm water
  4. 1/2 cup sugar
  5. 1 pinch salt
  6. Frying oil


  1. Put your sugar and salt into the warm water until they are both dissolved

  2. In a bowl, mix together your flour, water mixture, and butter

  3. Knead your dough until your dough is tough and dense

  4. Let your dough rest for about 30 minutes

  5. Knead dough again to remove air bubbles

  6. Roll out your dough until it is about 1/2 inch thick

  7. Cut the dough into 2 by 4 rectangles

  8. On each piece, cut a slit in the middle and pull one end through, making a knot shape

  9. Fry in oil in pan until golden brown on each side

  10. Remove and enjoy!
