I love soft cookies!
This recipe makes about 18 cookies if you use a 2″ scoop
These are awesome for breakfast -a cookie and a banana are all you need, in my opinion
These freeze well too
Enjoy!

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 C soft room temperature butter
  2. 1 C sugar
  3. 2 room temperature eggs
  4. 1/4 C milk
  5. 1 tsp vanilla
  6. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  7. 1/2 tsp baking powder
  8. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  9. 1/2 tsp allspice
  10. 1/4 tsp cloves
  11. 1/2 tsp salt
  12. 1 1/2 C oatmeal
  13. 1 1/2 C flour
  14. Optional, 1 C raisins
  15. Optional, 1 C chopped walnuts

Steps

  1. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and combine well

  2. Stir in milk

  3. When combined, add the vanilla, soda, powder, salt, cinnamon, allspice and cloves and combine

  4. Add the oatmeal, mix well and let stand while the oven preheats to 350* (about 4-5 minutes)

  5. Add flour 1/2 C at a time…the dough will be very dense and sticky..this would be the time to add the raisins and walnuts if you’re going to use them..the cookies taste great either way

  6. Using a 2″scoop, place balls on a parchment-lined sheet about 3″ apart

  7. Bake for 12 minutes

  8. Remove from oven and let the cookies rest on the sheet 3 minutes before moving to a rack or other sheet to cool completely

  9. Hope you like these!
