These are the best rendition of jalapeno poppers I’ve ever had. They’re a huge hit whenever we make them. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  1. 8 Jalepenos
  2. 1 (8 oz) block of cream cheese softened
  3. 1 cup shredded cheddar
  4. 1/2 tsp salt
  5. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  6. 1/2 tsp onion powder
  7. 16 peices deli sliced chicken (or turkey)
  8. 16 slices bacon
  9. Your favorite bbq sauce. I prefer a sweet and spicy

Steps

  1. Mix the cream cheese, shredded cheddar, salt, pepper, and onion powder in a bowl.

  2. Cut the stems off of the jalapenos and then cut them in half lengthwise. Then remove the inside stem and seeds. You should have 16 jalapeno boats.

  3. Using all of the cream cheese mixture, evenly divide into each jalapeno boat.

  4. Then wrap each boat with a slice of deli chicken and wrap a slice of bacon around that.

  5. Place all of the jalapeno poppers on a greased shallow baking sheet in an oven preheated to 400°F for 20 minutes.

  6. Remove from oven and set oven to broil. Pour bbq sauce over each popper and then broil for 2-3 minutes.

  7. Enjoy!
