A healthy diet plan and exercise are both important when trying to achieve weight loss goals. New research has revealed which workouts burn the most calories and can help burn fat.
In order to lose a few pounds, dieters must burn off more calories than they are taking in.
A good way to work off excess calories is to exercise regularly, according to experts at Healthline.
They stated: “How much weight you lose depends on the amount of exercise you’re willing to commit to and how closely you stick to your diet.
“If you really want to see results reflected on the scale and continue to make progress over time, you need to commit to working out at least four to five days per week.”

Incorporating calorie-burning exercises into weekly workouts could help slimmers lose weight.
When working out, some exercises are better than others for burning calories, according to research by personal finance experts Ocean Finance.
The findings stated running could burn the most calories, working off up to 733 calories in half an hour, depending on body weight.
Of all the workouts reviewed, weightlifting burned the fewest number of calories at 133 calories in half an hour.
The research showed how many calories were burned on average in 30 minutes for someone who weighs 13 stone.

1. Running (10mph) – 733 calories
2. Running (7.5mph) – 555 calories
3. Elliptical trainer – 466 calories
4. Exercise bike – 444 calories
5. Step aerobics – 422 calories
With gyms closed in the UK, many Britons will not have access to certain workout equipment and will instead stay fit however they can while at home.
Home workouts such as circuit training and calisthenics were both shown to burn around 355 calories in 30 minutes.
A moderate walk at around 5mph also burns around 355 calories in the same time period, the research added.
As well as the weight and height of a slimmer, factors such as the pace and intensity of the workout can also affect home many calories are burned.
On average, those hoping to lose weight must burn 3,500 calories to shift one pound.
Exercising regularly can help burn more calories as it boosts the metabolism.
Experts at Healthline continued: “Exercise is helpful for weight loss and maintaining weight loss. Exercise can increase metabolism, or how many calories you burn in a day.
“It can also help you maintain and increase lean body mass, which also helps increase the number of calories you burn each day.”
