Gemma Collins says she has the ‘buzz’ for exercise

Gemma Collins embarked on her weight loss journey when she came into the TV spotlight on TOWIE in 2011. Since then, she has openly talked about her weight and how it has fluctuated throughout the years.

The star reportedly lost three stone two years ago before competing on Dancing on Ice.

After struggling to keep it off, Gemma embarked on a juice diet and has also tried various other methods of weight loss including hypnotherapy.

Since the start of the pandemic, the star has turned to exercising and regularly updates fans on her workout methods.

Her latest post show Gemma in her back garden doing battle rope exercises.

The caption read: “NOT LONG NOW for my ultimate life challenging adventure!

“Can’t wait to share it with you…thank you Joe Wicks the ultimate fitness guru for being really supportive and not judging me.

“Really gave me a push yesterday and meant so much thank you!”

Gemma thanked Joe Wicks for his support after he called her fitness journey “inspiring”.

He told Metro: “There’s loads of amazing trainers out there…but I think anyone that is going through a physical or mental transformation is inspiring, I think good luck to everybody.

“It’s about inspiring and people have different journeys. It’s not always about fat loss and weight loss, some people have a positive message around mental health and how they feel.”

He added: “I don’t know Gemma Collins personally…but good luck to anyone trying to inspire the people.”

Her amazing body transformation also didn’t go unnoticed amongst her fans.

One person said: “You look incredible hun.”

Another wrote: “The inspiration I needed this morning!”

“Our Gems looking incredible, look at that body,” a third commented.

Working out is an important part of keeping healthy and it can reduce the risk of developing several diseases.

Regular activity can have immediate and long-term benefits and hitting 10,000 steps every day is a target for some.

While exercise doesn’t directly contribute to weight loss, working out regularly can help provide the body with its calorie deficit.

Other videos of Gemma show the star lifting weights as well as performing lunges and squats around her garden.

Earlier this month, the TOWIE star encouraged her fans to lose weight naturally after she had advocated controversial weight loss injections.

Speaking on the GC podcast, she said: “I’m not promoting diet injections or anything like that.

“I kind of regret doing it but I feel like sometimes you’re in such a desperate place and you want to lose weight but actually I’ve come away from all the diet promotion because I wish we could get rid of that word diet.

“It’s so important that we keep getting that message home.”

She added: “Since turning 40 I’ve become so much more aware of my health and I’m kind of regretting maybe not taking my health as seriously as I should have done.”
