Catherine Tyldesley become popular after appearing in soap opera Coronation Street or TV show Strictly Come Dancing. The star managed to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time, but how did she do it?
Catherine went through an impressive fitness transformation after slimming down to size eight and losing six stone before joining Strictly Come Dancing.
The actress admitted that because of her job, she had adopted unhealthy eating habits.
In a recent post on her social media, she explained how she managed to lose weight easily.
Catherine said that motivation is key and that she realised she had to lose weight when she “couldn’t walk up the stairs without gasping for breath.”
“I had zero energy and my skin was terrible. Educating myself on nutrition was the best thing I ever did,” the actress explained.
She shared her transformation on social media, showing a picture of her when she was a size 22 and then dropping to a size eight.
The actress also revealed she lost another two stone after giving birth.
But how did she do it?
Catherine explained she went through a strict 12 week fitness regime.
Her 12-week Ultimate Performance transformation plan included weight workouts, high-intensity exercises and a very healthy diet.
The meal plan featured nutrient and protein high meals and green, fibre rich vegetables.
The star revealed how she was able to do that while working.

“It’s just fitting it around your schedule.
“If I was working I’d go on walks.
“On night shoots there are a lot of pies and bacon sandwiches floating about but I took stuff with me.”
The mum-of-one now goes to the gym regularly to keep in shape and follows a healthy diet.
She said in the past: “I think it’s about creating a lifestyle.
“If you want to sustain a healthy weight and feel good about yourself then you need to fuel your body with the right food.”
Other celebrities like Melanie Sykes have also revealed their secret to slim is simply following a healthy diet.
However, some are followers of stricter meal plans like Queen Letizia, who stays in shape by following the Perricone Diet.
