Alan Halsall, 38, has lost a lot of weight throughout his years on television screens. Documenting his body transformation on social media, the actor is now in great shape and has regularly shared snaps of him hitting the gym in recent years.
Joining Coronation Street when he was just 16, the actor hasn’t just become one of the nation’s longest-running soap stars, he has also shed the pounds throughout the years on screen.
Alan has documented much of the process on his social media, with snaps at the gym and regular hikes.
His weight loss was first spotted by fans when he posted topless photo in Ibiza, which he posted back in 2018.
His impressive abs caught the attention of his followers with one saying “wow dude tell me your secret!!!”

Another commented: “How did you get such a great body? You have lost so much weight since your first Corrie days.”
However his real fitness kick started shortly after his marriage to Lucy Jo Hudson ended and the actor hit the gym regularly with co-star Colson Smith, who has also lost a huge amount of weight.
Posting on Instagram back in 2018, Alan shared a snap of him lifting weights, showing off his biceps.

“Health is not just about the weights you’re lifting or what you’re eating. It’s also about what you’re thinking and saying!!”
Pictures of the television star see him on various different machines including the rowing machine.
According to Healthline, just 30 minutes of rowing can see someone burn up to 255 calories.
In comparison, 30 minutes of walking could help someone burn around 130 calories.
He is now dating his co-star Tisha Merry, who played waitress Steph Britton on Coronation Street for three years.
Alan recently explained that exercise helped the pair bond.
He said: “I’d really got into hot yoga and someone mentioned that Tisha was going to the same studio so I thought we could go together.”
The Coronation Street actor has also had the help of a personal trainer to help aid with his weight loss and Alan has been very open about this fact.
He also teamed up with Sam Aston, who plays Chesney, to help them both get in shape before a friend’s wedding.
“Great workout today with @samaston93 whipping him into wedding shape,” he wrote on Instagram.
Alan also shared that he likes to play team sports to help him stay motivated, with the likes of badminton which he has played with his co-stars and his girlfriend.
Explaining previously that he isn’t too serious about dieting, the TV star regularly shares snaps of him indulging into a glass of wine and cocktails.
During the lockdowns this year, Alan has been keeping on top of his fitness, sharing snaps of himself on bike rides.

It all started when he got food poisoning, causing him to have a complete change of lifestyle.
Colson’s body transformation is tied in with his storyline on Coronation Street, as Craig battles with his weight on the show.
The actor regularly exercises and in lockdown, shared workouts online to help his fans.
He also used a meal provider to help cut the calories.
