We’re constantly checking up on our favorite Trader Joe’s-related social media accounts, and @TraderJoesList in particular always seems to have the inside scoop on the latest and greatest products. So when we came across a post this morning about the retailer’s Popcorn in a Pickle, we just had to make a TJ’s run right then and there to test it out.
Spoiler: It’s Delicious
Trader Joe’s Popcorn in a Pickle is dill pickle-flavored, pre-popped popcorn worthy of its title. The staff couldn’t stop talking about it all afternoon. We were super impressed with the popcorn’s delicious dill flavor, and perfect balance of saltiness and acidity. Needless to say, this stuff is pretty addicting, and it’s only $1.99 for a pretty big bag!
Bonus: It’s Also (Pretty) Healthy!
And just when we thought we couldn’t love it anymore, Popcorn in a Pickle is only 150 calories per two-cup serving! The (literal) only downside to this popcorn is that it’s a bit high in sodium for our liking—290mg per serving, or 8% of your DV—so it might be best mixed with a bag of our other favorite air-popped popcorn from Trader Joe’s or in a smaller serving.

If you don’t like pickles or acidic foods, this is definitely not the popcorn for you, but for those who go for a bit of tangy goodness it’s the perfect snack, and would pair well with a good kombucha. It would also taste amazing in a savory popcorn mix with nuts, pretzels, and other salty treats.
