A restaurant branded a customer “shameless” and told him he was “not welcome ever again” after he left a scathing review online.
Taking to Tripadvisor, the diner criticised Diego’s Charcoal House in Castletownbere, Ireland, for having an “unfriendly atmosphere”. He said the service was “rushed” and said they were later called by the restaurant over a “trivial matter”.
But biting back, the steakhouse said it was the “worst” when “people like you have personal revenges and try to destroy the job we do hardly”.
While the guest said the “food was nice”, he left a two-star critique.
The restaurant bosses called the man “shameless”, Cork Beo reports.
The full responses reads: “If after all you write this review you are shameless. Im not going to answer this stupid comment.
“Your profile is more for a kids park than for a restaurant.
“The worst is when people like you have personal revenges and try to destroy the job we do hardly.”
It added: “Anyway I told you yesterday and I tell you again. You are not welcome in my restaurant, never again.
“Maybe we don’t understand your hobby, play with the decorative candles and melted [wax] covering all the table, table cloths, floor etc.
“And you have the shame to write here about my business.”
Diego’s Charcoal House has an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 on TripAdvisor.
Among recent positive reviews, the establishment has been praised for its friendly service and delicious tapas, burgers and steaks.
One review reads: “Warm, cozy, and welcoming, Diego’s is authe tically Spanish while at the same time caters to local tastes.
“We had some tapas, pizzas, and steaks. The Macroom buffalo rubeye was quite possibly the best steak I have eaten in Ireland! I highly recommend this restaurant, I know we will be back again next year.”
