Nando’s has reopened a further 61 branches in the UK, bringing the total number of restaurants open to 213. With more branches open, the restaurant chain has announced customers ordering online can get free delivery. This is how it works.

In response to the coronavirus crisis, all Nando’s restaurants were closed earlier this year.

As the pandemic continues, all restaurants have been asked to open for delivery only.

After introducing new social distancing measures, six Nando’s locations in London and Manchester were opened again in April.

Since then, branches have started to open in various areas for delivery and click and collect.

The restaurant chain has announced a further 61 branches have now opened up.

These include branches in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and Cardiff.

Chicken fans can check to see if their local branch is operating on the Nando’s website.

New social distancing rules have been introduced to help keep members of staff and customers safe.

The Nando’s website states: “The safety and security of our customers and team is always our top priority, and we have been working hard to find a safe way to start serving Nando’s again in line with government advice.

“We have now begun firing up the grills again in a select number of restaurants across the UK for Delivery, with most Nando’s also offering Collect. For the time being we will not be offering our Eat In service.

“It’s really important to us that our restaurants are a safe place to be for both our customers and our staff.”

Restaurants have reduced the number of people working at one time so a safe distance can be maintained.

Opening times have also been changed and a limited menu is being offered.

Social distancing measures will also be followed by drivers with contactless delivery available on request.

Walk in orders and ordering over the phone is also not allowed at this time.

Nando’s has introduced free delivery if ordering food online in the next two weeks.

Although dining in is temporarily not an option, customers will still be able to collect their chilli points when ordering from the website.

These can be used to get discounts on food items at a later date.
