Sophie Hinchcliffe, better known as Mrs Hinch, is the Instagram cleaning sensation who rose to fame by sharing pictures of her immaculate house. She then transitioned into showing fans how she cleans her house, the products she uses and the tips she has. Recently, the mother of two has turned to share some of the food she creates but in a recent Instagram Stories post, she left fans aghast with her creation which she even admitted “tasted like sh*t”.
Sophie posted the first story with the caption: “Right let’s try and end this day on a bit of a high shall we… and get some dinner in the oven.”
She then noted to her followers to preheat the oven to 180 degrees, have two onions and four potatoes ready.
The first step was greasing the ovenproof dish she was going to be putting all the ingredients in.
Next, she chopped two red onions roughly before adding them to the dish, followed by slicing the four potatoes and laying them on top of the onion.
The following story then showed Mrs Hinch layering pre sliced chicken pieces on top of the potato before making a sauce.
She combined cream, two eggs, mixed herbs, curry powder and powdered garlic into a separate bowl and then whisked.
Her 4.1million fans then saw her pour the mixture over the top of the chicken, potatoes and onions, before covering with foil and putting into the oven.
As if by magic, the next Instagram story saw her remove the dish from the oven after it had been cooking, where she then added handfyuls of grated cheese over the top.
To finish the dish off, Mrs Hinch sliced some cherry tomatoes and placed them on top of the cheese before returning it back to the oven.
“DONE!” She captioned. “I’ll let you know what it tastes like because I’ve not cooked this before (it’s all I really had in the fridge).
“BUT hopefully it tastes as good as it smells.”
Mrs Hinch then portioned the dish out and showed her followers what it looked like before she ate it.
A little while later, Mrs Hinch popped onto her Instagram Stories with the old lady, hair in rollers and pinafore filter on to tell everyone what her dinner tasted like.
She confirmed to everyone: “Don’t worry the chicken was fully cooked! That’s the red onion you can see.”
Before explaining: “Do you know what guys? I was planning on saving that recipe to a highlight at the top of my page.
“But I won’t bother because it tasted like sh*t.”
Fans took to a variety of social media platforms to discuss what Mrs Hinch had cooked.
Someone said: “Still no idea what kind of meal it was – my stomach churned watching the cream and egg mix. I didn’t think it could get worse than this.”
“Jesus Christ I saw the first ‘done’ picture and thought it couldn’t get any worse. Then I saw the last one… is that RAW chicken on the left?!” Another wondered.
A third added: “Just witnessed a horrifying event on Mrs Hinch Instagram… is this how people cook? Is this how people live? It’s ok to brown your meat before any sort of liquid is introduced.”
“Mixed herbs and curry powder? Whhhhhhyy omg with CREAM f*cking cream and eggs!” One remarked.
A tweet read: “I can’t even wrap my head around the errrr flavours??? It’s what she had left in the fridge so she threw it all together I guess.”
This isn’t the first time Mrs Hinch fans have been confused by her culinary creations.
Just last week she was seen making “the quickest pie ever” by emptying a whole can of spaghetti hoops into an oven dish, followed by cheese and spinach, before repeating the process and topping with mash potato.
It that wasn’t enough, she then added more spaghetti hoops and spinach along with two fried eggs.
On another occasion, Mrs Hinch didn’t have any cheese to top her cottage pie with so she used cheesestrings instead.
