The supermarket issued an urgent warning to the public after one of its products was recalled by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

According to the FSA, the item in question was the Morrisons own Spanish Chorizo Ring.

Customers who have purchased selected batches were urged not to eat them because they may contain salmonella.

Salmonella is a bacteria that can make people sick and can be found in a variety of foods, including chicken, beef, pork, eggs, fruits, vegetables, and even processed foods.

Symptoms of a salmonella infection usually include diarrhoea, fever, abdominal cramps, chills, headache, nausea, or vomiting.
