McDonald’s Quarter Pounder is one of the nation’s favourite items on the menu. It includes a 100 percent beef quarter pound patty, two slices of cheese, onions, pickles, mustard and tomato ketchup sandwiched between a sesame seeded bun. The fast food chain currently has an amazing deal which could see fans save £2.20.

The offer is available for new app users, who can get a 99p Quarter Pounder when signing up to the app.

Customers must use a new email address when signing up to receive the offer.

The app is available on mobile devices and it takes just minutes for the deal to appear.

However customers must be quick as the 99p offer is only available for a limited time.

The new sign-up offer runs until March 21, so McDonald’s fans have just over one month to claim the deal.

It’s only available through mobile orders and can be picked up for collection at Click and Serve locations as well as drive-thrus.

The burger can only be claimed once and the fast food chain regularly updates its welcome offer, seeing different food times available at a discounted price.

McDonald’s also recently launched new food items to the menu, including the return of mozzarella dippers.

Mozzarella dippers were brought back after popular demand and will cost £1.89 for a box of three and £5.09 for a huge box of nine.

Fans were delighted with the news and took to Twitter to share how excited they were.

One person wrote: “They bought back the mozzarella dippers at McDonalds…I’m so happy.”

Another said: “Mozzarella dippers are coming back to the menu! Best thing to happen to me all day.”

The Homestyle Crispy Chicken, Grand Big Mac, Grand Big Mac with Bacon, McFlurry Flake and the McFlurry Raspberry Flake are also available in McDonald’s stores nationwide right now.

The Homestyle Crispy Chicken burger is the only new item on the menu, consisting of chicken breast in a crispy coating, covered with a spicy mayo and caramelised onion compote with lettuce, bacon, red onion and cheese.

McDonald’s said the new burger is “everything you would want in a bite – juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside.”

The limited-edition range will be available until March 23.

Fans can also make use of the McDonald’s free delivery that is available across the UK.

To enjoy free delivery, simply order £5 or more from a participating McDonald’s store on the Just Eat app – no code is required to make the saving.

Residents living outside of London will see a £1.99 delivery fee.

Andrew Kenny, UK Managing Director at Just Eat said: “We know the last few months have been tough for our customers, so Just Eat is delighted to be able to deliver some extra joy by partnering with some of their favourite restaurants to offer fantastic delivery discounts for the next two months, making us the best value delivery service in the market.”

Some McDonald’s across the UK have also re-opened their doors for walk-in takeaways after being closed for a month.

New protective measures will include visors as well as face coverings for staff who work directly with customers.

Paul Pomroy, McDonald’s boss for UK and Ireland, said: “A month ago we made the voluntary decision to temporarily close walk-in takeaway while we reviewed our safety measures to ensure they reflect the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Working closely with third party safety expert NSF International, we identified a small number of changes to further enhance our procedures, and we are currently in the process of rolling these out to restaurants.”
