Lockdown rules are easing next Monday, May 17, which means that the indoors of pubs and restaurants can finally open. Up to 30 people will also allowed to meet up outside as part of the new restrictions.

Frankie & Benny’s is a popular Italian-American restaurant chain serving an amalgamation of the two nations’ traditional cuisines.

The chain has 103 restaurants across the UK, and they are all reopening for indoor dining from Monday, May 17.

Customers will be able to choose from the eatery’s comfort food classics, but new dishes will also be available on its menu.

These dishes include vegan and vegetarian options such as the Plantballs Italiano and Vegan sourdough pizzas, as well as an entire menu dedicated to gluten-free diners.

The new menu’s starters include Vegan BBQ Wings made with jackfruit and served with vegan mayo, as well as Tear N Share garlic bread sprinkled with Gran Levanto cheese.

The new Buffalo Mac ‘n’ Cheese Bites is another option for vegetarians, while meat eaters can opt for the Chicken Parmigiana.

This features a crispy buttermilk chicken, Napoletana tomato sacuce, melted cheese, red pesto, and rocket.

The veggie options cost less than £6.50 each, while the Chicken is slightly more expensive at £11.40.

For the main meal, restaurant goers can choose from the New York Deli sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and burgers.

The sandwiches include a Meatball Sub and a Fish Finger Sub, the former costing £10.80 and the latter priced at £11.20.

The Fish Finger Sub contains cod goujons and comes with a pot of mushy peas.

The two other new sandwiches are the Classic Hot Dog and the Dirty Dog, the difference being that the Dirty Dog comes with BBQ brisket, gherkins, green chillies, and BBQ sauce.

Frankie & Benny’s new salads vary from an avocado and chicken salad to a Vegan Pepperoni Bake salad, which includes both pepperoni and mozzarella suitable for vegans.

As for the burgers, the new menu additions include a Cajun Beef Brisket Burger and a Cheesy Mac ‘n’ Cheeseburger that comes with crispy mac ‘n’ cheese bites.

There is also a new BBQ Brisket Pizza, as well as two large meat dishes.

One is the Smokey Ultimate BBQ Ribs, which comes as a whole rack or half a rack, while the other is a Lemon and Pepper Salmon with a creamy herb risotto.

Frankie & Benny’s has always offered exciting cocktails on its drinks menu, and next week will be no exception.

The new additions include Cany Floss Prosecco, Southern Passion, Sweet Whiskey Iced Tea, and Cucumber Cooler.

The Southern Passion contains Bacardi spiced rum while the Cucumber Cooler consists of Beefeater gin, cucumber syrup, and elderflower pressé.

As for desserts, the restaurant chain is offering a warm Apple Pie for £5.80 and a Salted Caramel and Chocolate Chip Antarctic Roll for £5.60.

Jon Knight, Managing Director of Frankie & Benny’s commented on the new menu ahead of next week’s indoor reopening.

He said: “It’s great that we will be reopening our restaurants for indoor dining again, and all of the restaurant Teams cannot wait to welcome everyone back.

“Guests, new and old, can not only expect new dishes on our revamped menu but also delicious updates to existing favourites with a real focus on freshness and quality.
