Costa Coffee is giving away millions of free drinks, and customers might run into Ronan Keating while in store.

The Boyzone singer has been employed as the coffee giant’s first “director of love” and will travel the country visiting its branches and delivering impromptu serenades to customers.

The coffee chain wants to do something nice for people struggling during the cost of living crisis by giving them a free hot drink.

They are giving away millions of free coffees up until November 24, reports Birmingham Live.

Brits can get theirs by downloading the Costa Coffee app and signing up for the Costa Club loyalty scheme before that date.

Free drink vouchers will automatically appear in the app’s Rewards section and can be redeemed in person at participating Costa Coffee stores.

Existing customers will also be able to discover gestures, perks, and rewards with exclusive in-app deals.

“When You Say Nothing at All” singer Ronan is the face behind the free drinks giveaway, which Costa says is the first in a series of “declarations of love” to its customers over the festive period.

Commenting on his new role, Keating said: “I’m so excited to be joining Costa Coffee in a campaign with love at its heart.

“It was so fun to play the role of director of love and I’m excited to give the nation all the feels this festive season and maybe even help them re-connect over a Costa coffee.”

Shakir Moin, Costa Coffee CEO said: “Ronan Keating is responsible for some of the greatest love songs of all time, so who better to help us woo customers and shower them with love this festive season?

“We’ll not only be giving millions of barista-crafted coffees away, but we’ll be taking to the streets and even the skies to show Brits how we feel about them.

“Stay tuned for some big surprises.”

Costa debuted its new Christmas menu last month, but the free drink vouchers will not be applicable.

Festive drinks include Toblerone hot chocolate, Toblerone latte, Terry’s Chocolate Orange hot chocolate, gingerbread and cream latte, and gingerbread latte coffee in a can.

The festive savoury food menu features a brie and cranberry toastie, maple bacon mac and cheese, vegan p’gs and blankets panini, turkey and the trimmings toastie, pigs and blankets panini, brie, bacon, and cranberry panini, turkey feast sandwich, maple pigs in blankets potato chips, M&S turkey feast sandwich, M&S Plant Kitchen no turkey feast sandwich, and M&S turkey ham hock toastie.

Festive sweet treats include a Toblerone chocolate muffin, a Terry’s Chocolate Orange muffin, a loaded chocolate and hazelnut cake, a white chocolate trillionaire’s slice, a crispy festive wreath, a raspberry trifle loaf cake, a reindeer muffin, a Christmas tree shortcake biscuit, a Santa gingerbread biscuit, mince pie, and a gluten-free vegan mince tart.
