Cadbury fans are rejoicing after one savvy shopper spotted a bar of the discontinued Dream white chocolate in a local shop.
Cadbury’s Dream was launched in 2002, but was withdrawn because of a lack of popularity.
Fast forward to 2020, the confectionary brand released Cadbury White, which not only saw a large white chocolate bar hit shelves but white giant chocolate buttons too.
While they are a hit with chocolate lovers, they don’t hold the same nostalgia as Dream.
Luckily for B&M shoppers, they can enjoy a bar or two of Dream with their weekly shop.
The discovery of Dream returning to the UK was posted on the Facebook group called Food Finds UK.
A Cadbury fan posted a photo of the iconic blue packaging alongside a simple caption: “B&M £1.99.”
The “smooth and creamy white chocolate” bar is only 180g and is rather pricey compared to other Cadbury products.
Fans rushed to the comments with their thoughts.
Eleasha India Harris said: “These were my favee.”
Emma Stothard wrote: “I think I may need a trip to B&M.”
Evie Marie pointed out they were cheaper in her local store: “My B&M 99p.”
While B&M may be the only shop in the UK to sell Dream, they are still sold elsewhere in the world.
Cadbury’s didn’t discontinue the Dream bars in Australia or South Africa, so it is believed B&M imported the bars as part of its Cadbury Australia Chocolate promotions.
The shop also sells Cadbury Dairy Milk Top Deck, Crispy Mint Creme, and Moro Bars and two Cadbury Old Gold Bar flavours – Roast Almond and Peppermint.
Cadbury Caramilk Bars and Cadbury Twirl Caramilk Bars, as well as Australian Cadbury Dairy Milk Turkish Delight Bars can also be bought.
Express.co.uk has reached out to Cadbury for a comment, and to find out whether Dream will ever return to all supermarket shelves.
In the meantime, Cadbury’s is offering chocolate fans the chance to unwrap a delicious mystery this summer as they launched a nationwide competition to solve the mystery flavours in two limited-edition bars.
It’s the Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate people know and love but with two new delicious mystery flavoured fillings.
There’s a rich reward up for grabs by any keen flavour detectives with the chance to win a £5,000 mystery prize.
Cadbury Mystery Bar 01 and Cadbury Mystery Bar 02 will be available in both sharing and individual bars, whilst stocks last.
To enter the competition, the public can purchase one or both of the Cadbury Mystery Bars, then visit mysterybars.cadbury.co.uk to submit their guesses. There will be one winner per bar and the winners will be selected at random from correct guesses. T&Cs apply.
Pippa Rodgers, Brand Manager for Cadbury Dairy Milk comments: “We are incredibly excited to launch this brand new competition from Cadbury Dairy Milk and challenge the nation to solve the flavours of Cadbury Mystery Bars.
“We can’t wait to see the public’s reactions and creative guesses as friends and family come together to solve the mystery flavours!”
