With the calendar turning to May, the weather is finally starting to warm up in the more temperate regions of the country. And if there’s one thing we think of when it comes to summer eating (aside from delicious things from the grill), it’s gotta be ice cream. The only problem is that it’s a little harder to acquire and enjoy than usual these days.

To help cope with these strange times, Baskin Robbins has introduced their own DIY sundae kits meant to bring the ice cream parlor into your own home. 

Each kit comes with two quarts of Baskin-Robbins ice creams of your choice (just under 6.5 percent of their 31 flavors), as well as a choice of wet topping (think hot fudge or another sauce), two dry toppings like sprinkles, an entire can of whipped cream, and cherries to top it all off. 

Not only does this $24.99 sundae kit include all of the ingredients, you’ll also get the necessary spoons, napkins, and cups, all of which can help make it feel like you’ve left your home to go out for ice cream.

The DIY sundae kit is only available for a limited time, since hopefully the need to order such a thing only persists for a limited time. You can place an order on Baskin Robbins’ website or through their mobile app to get your sundae kit for delivery, carry-out, or even drive-thru pickup. 

Someday soon, we’ll be able to safely have one big ice cream social together. But for now, it seems like this sundae kit and a Zoom party is the next best thing. Just don’t get hot fudge on your keyboard.
